I totally understand that with the rise of the costs going around. Looking for the most inexpensive service is the most desired. Yet, when it comes to your website or business it isn't the most ideal avenue.
The phrase "you get what you pay for" rings true in my mind.
Now, I am not saying to go with the most expensive service out there. Please keep in mind that there are some that overcharge for there services because they think they can. Yet, in return the product of their "labor" is minimum to the cost. Or they overcharge for a simple task knowing that it is unreasonable but think since you are clueless you will take the bait.
I have seen my fair share of diy websites. A few have done a great job but most are lacking in many facets. There is more to a website that just the images, pages, content, etc. How is your website fairing in analytics? Is the flow functional for a future customer or client to navigate? Is your site secure? It is responsive? These are just a some of things that I see missing in diy websites. Which those questions would be remedied by a web designer/developer.
